Mission and Vision
Mission
Izmir University of Economics Department of Civil Engineering aims to carry out the education, research and community service activities at universal standards, contribute to regional and national development by producing and sharing information and technology and prepare students as engineers embarked to continue professional development and having cultural sense, professional ethics, ability of research and developing contemporary solution algorithms.
Vision
With our up-to-date curriculum and acedemic staff we aim to theoretically prepare students for professional positions they can take place in the future. And by the perpective of our Engineering Faculty, supporting them with social opportunities and elective courses that will give them a broad intellectual point of view to create a difference in conventional Civil Engineering education. Parallel to this, our department supports industry-university cooperation or government-sponsored projects and students who want to take part in these projects.
